 WASHINGTON, D.C. — As a powerful bipartisan alliance emerges in support of immigration reform in early 2013, faith, law enforcement and business leaders will speak about their efforts Tuesday and Wednesday at the National Strategy Session: Forging a Path Forward on Immigration, including a morning press conference Tuesday. At the press conference, leaders across the political spectrum will call on Congress to address immigration and create a road to citizenship for aspiring Americans who contribute to our communities and our economy. The press conference will kick off the two-day National Strategy Session, at which faith, law enforcement and business leaders will launch a critical push for reform. More than 250 leaders from 26 states including Arizona, Florida and Kansas have registered for the strategy session. AOL co-founder and current Revolution LLC Chairman and CEO Steve Case will be the featured speaker at the strategy session, in a conversation with Ronald Brownstein, Editorial Director, National Journal Group. Conservatives are breathing new life into immigration reform efforts. At this defining moment for immigration, conservative leaders are gathering in Washington to push Congress and the president to see reform through. This gathering builds on two years of hard work outside Washington, including successful regional summits in the Mountain West,Southeast and Midwest at which nearly 450 business, faith and law-enforcement leaders have built new relationships, discussed state policies and urged pragmatic solutions at the federal level.
