ROCKLIN, Calif., - William Jessup University, the first WASC accredited private, four-year residential Christian Liberal Arts University in the greater Sacramento region will celebrate its annual Commencement on Saturday, May12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Adventure Christian Church in Roseville. This is the university's largest graduating class to date. "We look forward to the impact our graduates are going to make as they transition from our university setting," said Dr. John Jackson, president of the 72 year old university. Approximately 250 students are graduating this May with the majority of graduates receiving psychology, business and ministry related bachelor degrees. This year marks the eighth graduation ceremony celebrated by the university since its move to Rocklin in 2004. The 2012 Commencement keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Carlos Campo, a sought-after speaker and current President of Regent University. "We are pleased to welcome Dr. Campo to our Commencement celebration," said President Jackson.  "Dr. Campo is not only a respected educator and leader in Christ centered higher education, he is a man of winsome heartbeat and passion.  We are delighted to have him join us, along with the other members of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, in celebrating the growth and development of William Jessup University." As the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference's (NHCLC) select Graduate School Partner, Regent University, along with William Jessup University are committed to promoting educational opportunities for the nation's vibrant and growing Latino population. In February, WJU became an exclusive partner and the first university in California to join the growing education initiative developed by the NHCLC. Campo became president of Regent University on August 1, 2010. He joined Regent as vice president for academic affairs in 2008, following an impressive 20-year career in higher education. Jessup honored the recent graduates during their "Senior Dinner" event held at the growing campus on April 26.
