The Philos Project is Hosting a Rally and March on the National Mall to Honor the Heroes of the October 7

The Philos Project will hold a rally and march on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to honor the heroes and remember the hostages of the October 7 Massacre. Thousands of people from all backgrounds and faiths are expected to gather to mark the one-year anniversary of this evil day, reflecting on the courage and humanity demonstrated by civilians and remembering the hostages still held captive in Gaza.

On October 7, 2023, the world witnessed an unimaginable tragedy when thousands of innocent civilians were murdered in southern Israel by Hamas. However, in the midst of this horror, stories of incredible bravery emerged – stories of civilians risking their lives to protect others.

This event will pay tribute to these heroes, whose selflessness and courage serve as a source of inspiration as the war in Israel continues. Attendees will also stand in solidarity with the more than 100 men, women, and children who remain hostages in Gaza one year after their capture.

The event will feature speakers on the main stage and conclude with a short march. “This is not a political issue – it’s a human issue,” said Luke Moon, Executive Director of The Philos Project.

“The courage displayed on October 7 is a powerful reminder that in the face of darkness, humanity has the strength to stand up for what is right. We call on people from all walks of life to join us in honoring the heroes of this day, as well as the hostages in Gaza.”

Philos and its many partners hosting this event hope that commemorating this day will bring all people together to remember the heroes, the victims, the survivors, those still held hostage, and their families – whether American or Israeli, Jewish or Christian.
