NRB Launches Capital Campaign to Establish Permanent Headquarters in Washington

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) recently announced the launch of a Capital Campaign to acquire permanent headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The campaign—titled “The Voice of Christian Broadcasting in the Nation’s Capital”—aims to establish a permanent presence in Washington, D.C., for NRB, the leading organization representing Christian communicators across the country. As NRB president & CEO Troy A. Miller explained, the need for a permanent headquarters is more urgent than ever.

“We all know what the environment is like today, and the hostility that Christian organizations are seeing,” Miller remarked to a key group of industry leaders and NRB members at the recent Capitol Hill Media Summit (CHMS).

NRB’s public policy and communications shop is heavily engaged on Capitol Hill, where NRB intends to locate its permanent headquarters. NRB’s future headquarters will reinforce NRB’s local and national profile, upgrade NRB’s scope of media engagement, and bring key capabilities in-house.

“In a world clamoring to silence and subdue the Truth of Scripture, NRB stands firm,” Miller wrote. “Our nation, our world, is at a pivotal moment, and NRB’s permanent presence on Capitol Hill will secure an enduring voice for faithful Christian broadcasters in our nation’s Capital.”

By investing in these facilities in Washington, NRB will be able to offer its members access to state-of-the-art studio space and equipment, including recording areas for radio, television, and podcasts, complete with a green room. Further, it will allow NRB to create a museum dedicated to Christian broadcasting. Centrally located headquarters will also enable NRB to host more events, bring together a wide range of colleagues and collaborators, and provide a home away from home for its members.

“We lead communicators across this country, and we need to increase our abilities to do communications as well, on your behalf,” Miller said.

Jim Sanders, Principal & Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising Agency as well as chairman of the NRB Executive Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign.

“The first time I came to NRB was in 1977,” Sanders said at the CHMS. “I have never been more excited about NRB than I am today.”
