NHCLC Announces Hispanic Leadership Summit in Texas: A Key Gathering for Pastors and Leaders

On March 29, 2025, the city of Austin, Texas, will host a transformative event for the Latino community: the Hispanic Leadership Summit. Organized by the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), this summit will bring together pastors, ministers, and Christian leaders from across the country to strengthen their leadership, expand their impact, and gain essential tools for ministerial growth.

The event will take place at LifeFamily Mueller Church (1504 E 51st St, Austin, TX 78723) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring keynote speeches, specialized workshops, and networking opportunities designed to inspire and equip participants in strategic areas of leadership and ministry.

Featured Workshops: Comprehensive Training for Christian Leaders

Attendees will have access to workshops led by internationally renowned speakers, who will share their expertise in mental health, evangelism, leadership, and communication.

Mental Health: Caring for the Leader

Ministerial leadership comes with significant emotional burdens, making self-care crucial for sustainable and effective service. This workshop will focus on strategies for mental and emotional well-being, helping leaders manage stress, prevent burnout, and strengthen their mental health.

Pastor Daniel Matos, with over 45 years of ministry experience, will lead this session. As the Pastor-Teacher of Iglesia Cristiana Ágape in Chicago, he has overseen the Alliance of Christian Churches Ágape and played a key role in leadership development. His extensive public service background includes serving as Commissioner of the Chicago Park District, where he managed an $800 million budget overseeing 400+ parks, 11 museums, and Soldier Field stadium. With expertise in crisis intervention and conflict resolution, he will provide practical guidance on emotional balance and stress management in ministry.

Compelling Preaching: Strategies for Effective Impact

As faith communities face declining influence, innovative strategies are essential to take the Gospel beyond church walls and engage new generations.

This workshop will be led by Pastor Paco García, a Christian leader with a global impact. He founded Nueva Vida Christian Centers and Nueva Vida Social Aid Centers in Spain, focusing on rehabilitating individuals with drug addiction issues. His leadership has resulted in the planting of nine congregations in southern Spain and the mobilization of thousands through the KAIROS strategy for Gospel expansion. Having collaborated with international organizations such as AD2000, DAWN, ICA, and Global Spheres, and trained under Dr. C. Peter Wagner, Pastor García will share practical evangelism and discipleship strategies based on decades of global ministry experience.

Leadership: “Do You Know God’s Unusual Work?”

This session will explore the identification and development of God’s “seeds” in leaders’ lives and ministries, helping them nurture their divine calling and move forward with vision and spiritual direction.

Led by Pastor Israel Bermúdez, co-founder and CFO of the NHCLC, this workshop will provide practical biblical principles for effective leadership. With over 25 years of experience, Pastor Bermúdez has played a key role in developing Christian leaders across Latin America and the United States. His session will emphasize the importance of understanding and aligning with God’s purpose amid ministry transformation and challenges.

Communications: Strategic Use of Media in Ministry

Digital platforms have transformed the way churches engage with their communities. This workshop will equip leaders with the skills to effectively use social media, messaging apps, and digital media to grow their ministry and improve communication.

The session will be led by Fayra Castro and Mónica Ortiz, experts in strategic communication and public relations with over 17 years of experience. They are the founders of El Mensaje Comunicaciones, a leading communications agency, and Asociación Glocal, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training Hispanic communicators and content creators.

With vast experience in public relations, media, and branding, they have collaborated with Christian organizations, ministries, and global leaders. In this workshop, they will share essential strategies to enhance communication, strengthen ministry branding, and connect with new audiences using digital platforms.
