The Power of Grace

I heard this recently from a person who is very special to me. He is a gifted, honest Christian leader who has inspired and influenced thousands of people for God’s Kingdom.

He told me about his involvement in a corporate conference with dozens of individuals who had come for training and advancement.

During one Tuesday session my friend was unexpectedly attacked verbally by a man he had never met. The other man criticized my friend for something he had not done. My friend, who is a sensitive and caring Christian, was shocked then offended. A surge of anger threatened to ruin the rest of his experience.

Soon my friend had a powerful insight. As long as he was angry and offended, he could not be a redemptive leader. The anger had replaced his influence.

My friend had the spiritual maturity to recognize the need to show grace and pivoted to the positive.

My friend is an excellent example of redemptive leadership. When someone offends you simply give them grace in return.

I am very proud of my friend and hope his example will inspire you to do the same.

The Bible says in John 13:35, “By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” NIV
