With great enthusiasm, the Compelling Preaching seminar was held in Augusta, offering a training space for pastors, preachers, and emerging voices seeking to strengthen their calling to communicate the gospel with greater clarity, relevance, and transformative power.
The seminar was led by Pastor Paco García, Executive Director of the Hispanic Prayer Platform (PHDO) and leader of the #EQUIP initiative of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC)—the largest Hispanic evangelical organization in the United States. The #EQUIP School of Ministry promotes ongoing formation for Spanish-speaking ministers in the U.S. and beyond, with a holistic focus on ministerial health, prophetic activism, and biblical unity.
The event reflected a deep interest among participants, who gratefully received the teachings shared. Pastor Ángel Maestre, local chapter director of the NHCLC, highlighted the importance of the program, stating: “These teachings should be shared with many more servants of God, and even with the church at large.”
The impact of the seminar extended beyond the in-person gathering. Pastor Maestre invited the speaker to participate in his FM radio program, expanding the reach of the lessons imparted. In addition, new dates are already being considered to bring this training to more churches and leaders across the region.
The gathering in Augusta represents another step in the NHCLC’s mission to equip leaders to preach with conviction, build healthy churches, and transform communities through the power of the gospel.
