Dr. Andrea Ramírez Honored as “Woman of Distinction” by the U.S. House of Representatives

In a solemn session of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Andrea Ramírez was recognized for her outstanding career by being named a “Woman of Distinction” as part of the She Leads initiative. Congresswoman Lisa McClain, who presented the honor, highlighted Dr. Ramírez’s significant contributions to public service and her commitment to promoting ethnic harmony.

“Today, we honor an outstanding leader whose career has built bridges across cultures, fostering the kind of ethnic harmony that is so crucial in our society,” reads the plaque accompanying this recognition.

Dr. Ramírez, who holds an MBA and a PhD, has held key roles across both public and private sectors. Among her most notable accomplishments is her work as a policy advisor and director of Hispanic Outreach at the White House, where she led significant educational and community initiatives focused on the U.S. Hispanic community. Prior to this, she served as Executive Director of the Faith and Education Coalition of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC).

Currently, Dr. Ramírez serves on the NHCLC Executive Committee, is a trustee of Dallas Baptist University, and sits on the advisory board for Open Educational Resources at the Texas Education Agency.
