#EQUIP Faculty Launches in Dallas With Pastoral Training and Facilitator Certification

Pastoral leaders from across the United States gathered January 27–29 at Dallas Baptist University for an intensive training event coordinated by #EQUIP, focused on pastoral development, facilitator certification, and the official launch of the #EQUIP Faculty.

The gathering marked a new chapter for the initiative, which is designed to strengthen ministerial formation and promote excellence in biblical preaching among Hispanic pastors nationwide.

Training sessions were led by Pastor Paco García, Global Director of #EQUIP, who provided practical tools and foundational principles aimed at fostering clear, biblically grounded, and transformative preaching.

Also participating were Pastor Abraham Hernández, National Chapters Director of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and Becky Hernández, Executive Director of the NHCLC. Both leaders shared insights into the organization’s mission, structure, and national reach.

“We are extremely grateful to Dallas Baptist University for welcoming us with such excellence,” Becky Hernández said. “A special thank you to Dr. Gus Reyes for coordinating this meaningful training on the university’s beautiful campus. We leave deeply thankful for the hospitality and the experience we shared.”

Participants described the gathering as both personally and spiritually transformative, noting that the sessions renewed their commitment to ministry and to expanding the Compelling Preaching educational initiative.

Organizers said the shared goal is to equip hundreds of Hispanic pastors across the United States with proven tools that will help mobilize local churches for effective Kingdom impact in the 21st century.
