National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference’s Statement on Lee Rizzuto’s Confirmation Hearings as U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS)

Reverend Abraham Hernandez, Executive Director of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), the largest Hispanic Christian organization in America, serving millions of Hispanic born-again Christians through thousands of affiliated churches, released the following statement on the confirmation hearings of Lee Rizzuto, President Trump’s nominee to be the U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS):

“On behalf of the millions of Hispanic Christians, the National Hispanic Leadership Conference (NHCLC) strongly supports the nomination of Lee Rizzuto as U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS) and urges the Senate to quickly confirm him.

Lee is a steadfast patriot and strong Christian whose international business experience and prior diplomatic service, working closely with many OAS Member States, give him the skills and relationships needed to be a strong and effective advocate for the American people at the OAS. The NHCLC is thankful for Lee’s tireless work, in partnership with the NHCLC and the Job Creators’ Network, to reach and inform millions of Hispanic Christians in the US.

Lee has consistently demonstrated his dedication to serving the interests of all Americans, including Hispanic Americans. The NHCLC is confident that Lee will represent the interests of America with integrity and purpose at the OAS. The NHCLC proudly supports Ambassador-designate Rizzuto, and we look forward to his continued public service at the OAS.”
