Miami, FL. – The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) had the honor of serving as the signature sponsor of the 2025 Media Music Marketing Summit, organized by Asociación Glocal. The gathering brought together communicators, leaders, pastors, and professionals from across the United States and Latin America.
A Call to Recover the Church’s Public Relevance
The opening keynote was delivered by Pastor Paco García (PHDO and Associate Director of NHCLC’s Spiritual Health Initiative). With a direct, engaging, and confrontational style, he presented the plenary session “Who Put Us in the Cave?”. In his address, Pastor García emphasized that the Church, which transformed the known world in the first century, cannot afford to retreat inward and lose its impact and relevance in today’s public square.
Strategic Presence and Team Training
NHCLC hosted an exhibitor booth, where it showcased its initiatives through the Center for Public Policy, the Center for Kingdom Collaboration, and the Center for Ministerial Health, all aimed at serving and equipping Hispanic pastors and their congregations.
As part of its commitment to strengthening church communication, NHCLC awarded 50 scholarships to pastors and their multimedia teams, enabling them to receive training from industry leaders representing Google, YouTube, Univision, and others. This investment equips churches with the technical and strategic skills needed to communicate with excellence, faithfulness, and reach.
International Media Tour
Dr. Charles Olmeda, Director of NHCLC’s Financial Health Initiative, and Pastor Paco García engaged in an international media tour, giving interviews to journalists from Costa Rica, Paraguay, Colombia, Guatemala, Argentina, and additional nations—expanding the reach of NHCLC’s message and initiatives throughout the region.
Premio Águila: 15 Years Celebrating Excellence in Faith-Based Media
NHCLC leaders also participated in the Premio Águila ceremony, the first award recognizing excellence in Christian media, also organized by Asociación Glocal. Marking its 15th edition, the event took place on Saturday, September 13, serving as the official closing of the Media Music Marketing Summit in Miami and gathering communicators from across Latin America and beyond.
During the ceremony, Pastor Israel Bermúdez, NHCLC’s Chief Financial Officer, and Becky Hernández, NHCLC’s Executive Director, had the honor of presenting two categories that celebrated content creators and communicators who sustain a strong and relevant faith presence in today’s media landscape.
Through its participation in both the Media Music Marketing Summit and the Premio Águila, the NHCLC reaffirms its commitment to elevating the voice of the Hispanic Church, equipping its leaders, and opening new spaces of influence in media and culture—serving communities and proclaiming a message of hope with excellence
