The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) celebrated its annual gathering, bringing together 350 attendees from 29 chapters across the United States for a day of inspiring speeches, impactful programming, and the exciting announcement that the Leadership Summit will now be an annual event. This gathering represents thousands of churches throughout the United States and the Spanish-speaking diaspora.

During the event, the NHCLC announced its new Center for Ministerial Health, a transformative national initiative designed to provide pastors with essential resources and support in the areas of spiritual, financial, and mental health. Set to open in May 2025, the center will address the growing challenges pastors face nationwide, empowering them to lead their congregations with greater strength, focus, and resilience.

Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, President of NHCLC, delivered an inspiring benediction that resonated deeply with the attendees:

In addition to the Center for Ministerial Health, the event spotlighted the Financial Health Initiative (FHI). The FHI will provide pastors with financial literacy training, resources, and relief through workshops and regional gatherings, helping them overcome financial pressures that often hinder their ministry.

Recent studies highlight the urgent need for financial support among pastors:

• 73% of pastors earn less than $50,000 annually.
• 82% of pastors rely on a second source of income to meet their monthly expenses.
• 60% of pastors report that financial stress distracts them from their mission and ministry.

The 2024 Leadership Summit concluded with a powerful focus on the theme of “Strength,” which underscored the unwavering resolve of the Hispanic church to build stronger communities through faith, leadership, and unity. With the launch of the Center for Ministerial Health and the continued expansion of its programs, the NHCLC continues to make a lasting impact on the well-being of pastors across the nation, helping them thrive in both their spiritual and financial lives.
