On Friday, May 16, the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), under the leadership of Pastor Edelmiro Santana, successfully hosted a Ministerial Health Clinic at Casa de Oración y Avivamiento (COA) Church.
The event brought together representatives from various local churches, creating a space dedicated to holistic care for spiritual leaders and community members. Over the course of approximately three hours, attendees participated in a series of sessions designed to strengthen spiritual, mental, and financial health—reflecting the NHCLC’s commitment to the overall well-being of the Hispanic church.
The keynote presentations were delivered by Pastors Charles and Reina Olmeda, who shared practical tools and biblical principles for personal and pastoral care. Special guest Pastor Carmen Luz Rivera—author and editor—offered a deeply moving message on suicide prevention, emphasizing the phrase: “Seek help, you are not alone,” which strongly resonated with those in attendance.
In addition to the rich teaching and encouragement, the event received valuable support from community partners such as The LIBRE Initiative. Local candidates also visited the clinic, engaging with faith leaders to discuss the importance of civic participation and informed voting in state elections.
This initiative marks a meaningful step forward in promoting holistic health among Hispanic pastoral leadership and sets a positive precedent for future efforts led by the NHCLC throughout the region.
