USA, April 29, 2024 (El Mensaje Communications) – Award-winning Hispanic author, producer, pastor and leader Samuel Rodriguez takes on a new role as executive producer on the upcoming mystery thriller “Dream.”

As announced by Variety, the film tells the story of a group of friends who, guided by a dream, embark on a mission to unravel what they believe could be a trafficking ring in their small working-class town.

“Dream” is written and directed by Ben Pauling, with co-direction by Sam Pauling. British actress Amy Tara, who previously appeared in the stage play Indigo Giant, has been cast in a lead role, along with a talented cast that includes Ben Pauling, Steven Cox (“The Thinning,” HBO’s “I Know This Much Is True”), Christopher Ammanuel (“April 29, 1992”) and Cameron Hanes.

The film is also executive produced by Jon Pauling, Michael Flaherty, co-founder of Walden Media and producer of “Everest” and production executive on “Chronicles of Narnia,” and Brian Rogers, producer of Legendary’s “Godzilla” franchise.

Rodriguez has previously been featured as executive producer on two films: the Dove Award-winning (“BREAKTHROUGH”) and Academy Award-nominated (“Flamin Hot”), in association with Franklin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

With two nominations, Samuel Rodriguez made history by becoming the first Hispanic pastor to participate as executive producer of two films nominated for the prestigious Academy Awards for Best Original Song.

In addition to leading the NHCLC (National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, one of the largest Hispanic Christian organizations in the world, Rev. Rodriguez is recognized by CNN, FOX News, Univision and Telemundo as the most influential Latino/Hispanic religious leader in the United States.

Charisma magazine named him one of the 40 leaders who changed the world. The Wall St. Journal named him one of the top 12 Latino leaders and he was the only religious leader on that list. He has been named among the “Top 100 Christian Leaders in America” (Newsmax 2018) and nominated as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” (TIME 2013).
