The National Hispanic Christian Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) and the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition (HILC), reaffirmed their support for Israel and their commitment to combating antisemitism during Israel Advocacy Day 2026, held May 4–6 in Washington, D.C.

The gathering brought together rabbis, pastors, policy leaders, and Israel advocates from across the country for what has become one of the most significant pro-Israel advocacy events for faith leaders in the United States.

Recognized as the nation’s largest Hispanic Christian organization, the NHCLC continues to strengthen its efforts in defending life, religious liberty, biblical justice, and support for the Jewish people. Through HILC, a subsidiary of the NHCLC, the organization works to mobilize Hispanic evangelical leaders in support of Israel and in opposition to antisemitism.

The event focused on strengthening the relationship between the Jewish and Christian communities, confronting the rise of antisemitism, and elevating a clear moral and biblical voice in support of Israel.

Pastor Juan Rivera, president of HILC, represented the organization during the Capitol Hill gathering and highlighted the participation of NHCLC pastors representing chapters from across the United States.

“It was a clear statement that the Hispanic evangelical community is not standing on the sidelines,” Rivera said. “We are praying, speaking up, showing up, and building bridges of courage, conviction, and friendship.”

The NHCLC delegation participated in strategic meetings and policy discussions centered on strengthening the alliance between Israel and the Christian community, while also addressing religious liberty concerns and the growing rise of antisemitism globally.

He said their ongoing efforts to mobilize faith leaders in support of Israel and the Jewish people are making a significant impact during a critical moment.

According to Rivera, this vision reflects the leadership and commitment of Rev. Samuel Rodríguez, president of the NHCLC, who has called for the Hispanic evangelical movement in the United States and Latin America to become “the greatest firewall against antisemitism in the world.”

Through HILC, the NHCLC continues to promote initiatives focused on mobilizing pastors, educating congregations, and strengthening relationships between the Jewish and Hispanic Christian communities while raising a biblical and moral voice in support of Israel.

“What happened in Washington cannot stay in Washington,” Rivera concluded. “It must echo through our pulpits, our churches, our communities, and our nations.”
